Accuracy of Estimates
We use wind data from the US high resolution wind atlas, and standard techniques for estimating wind speed and turbine output. These estimates however may be greatly influenced by local topography such as hills, lakes etc., and local structures such as buildings, and trees. Reports from FindWind.com are a first-pass tool for assessing wind power generation potential. Do not proceed with a wind turbine installation without consulting a qualified wind site assessor. If your FindWind report looks promising, consider monitoring your site. This is typically the next step in site assessment for small wind turbines.
Sales are Final
All sales are final. Should you make a mistake in entering data you can request a credit for a replacement report by emailing support@FindWind.com.
Questions about your Report:
We will do our best to answer questions about your report, either by email, or by phone (the latter is preferred). We cannot however design your wind turbine system. For that, please use our "FindWind" database of qualified installers and site assessors.
Limits to Liability
We make every effort to ensure that our source data and reports are as accurate as possible. Wind site estimates are just that - estimates. Reports from FindWind.com are a first-pass tool for assessing wind power generation potential. We recommend that as next steps you monitor wind speed at your site and employ the services of a qualified wind power site assessor and/or turbine installer. We hold no responsibility forthe power output of a wind turbine at your site and do not warrant that a particular wind turbine will generate the amount of energy shown in the report. You may request such a warranty from your turbine installer.
